The opening of the Court’s judicial year took place on 26 January 2018. To mark the occasion, a seminar was held on the topic The authority of the judiciary, attended by Presidents of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of the Council of Europe member States and numerous senior judicial figures.

At the solemn hearing that followed the seminar, President Guido Raimondi and Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, addressed an audience of around 350 persons.

On 26 January 2018, İsmail Rüştü Cirit, First President of the Court of Cassation, visited the Court and was received by President Guido Raimondi. Işıl Karakaş, judge elected in respect of Türkiye, and Roderick Liddell, Registrar, also attended the meeting.

Within the scope of "Ethics, Transparency and Trust Project of the Court of Cassation (CoC)", Expert Group Meeting on İstanbul Declaration on Transparency in Judiciary Meeting was held under the Presidency of İsmail Rüştü CİRİT, President of CoC, on October, 20, 2017. In the meeting: A workshop has been carried out with the international experts representing the different legal systems on the Draft Action Plan for the Implementation of The Istanbul Declaration by Nihal Jayawickrama, the Coordinator of the UN-sponsored Judicial Integrity Group, who drafted the Commentary on the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct.It is envisaged that Draft Action Plan for the Implementation of the İstanbul Declaration will be accepted with the international level of participants in the Summit of High Courts which is scheduled to be organized by Court of Cassation in the next year.

Ethics Principles Workshop", for the Court of Cassation personnel,  was held on May 15-16, 2017 in Antalya within the context of the "Ethics, Transparency and Trust Project of the Court of Cassation" in cooperation with the Court of Cassation  and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

A Protocol on  Cooperation was signed between Turkish International Disputes Resolution Centre of Court of Cassation(TUUÇM) and The Union of Chambers And Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye(TOBB) Accreditation Centre, on April 10, 2017. Signing ceremony hold at the Main Building of Court of Cassation. The same day, Turkish International Disputes Resolution Centre (TUUÇM) was officially launched.
