
Mr. Mehmet Akarca, President of the Court of Cassation, received the delegation consisting of the representatives of judicial training institutions from the member states of Turkic Council Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as well as representatives of Turkic Council.
Mr. Akarca began to speak by emphasizing that he is very pleased to host the distinguished members of the Academy from friendly countries, and he expressed that there is a strong relationship among Turkic Republics in trade, tourism and culture as well as law and justice.
Mr. Akarca stated that there is a strong cooperation with many countries in the Balkans, Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa in conducting the training of judges and prosecutors, and visits since the establishment of the Justice Academy of Türkiye.
Within the scope of “First Meeting of the Union of Judicial Academies of Turkic Council”, representatives of judicial training institutions of member states of Turkic Council are conducting a study visit between 5-8 October in our country.
In the visit coordinated by the Justice Academy of Türkiye, it is aimed that the best practices and research of members of the judiciary in training are shared, cooperation among institutions is established and mechanisms that will enable the rule of law are developed.
After the reception of the delegations, Presidency of the Court of Cassation and Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office are visited.
Mr. Bekir Şahin, Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Mr. Eyup Yeşil, First Vice President of the Court of Cassation, Mr. Adem Albayrak, First Vice President of the Court of Cassation, Mr. Rıdvan Gündoğdu, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Mr. Fevzi Yıldırım, Secretary General of the Court of Cassation, Mr. Muhittin Özdemir, President of the Justice Academy of Türkiye also attended the meeting.
