The First President
Hasan GERÇEKER

   He was born in Ankara on June 01, 1946

   Having graduated from Ankara Gazi High school, he studied Law in Ankara University in 1970. Then he completed his military service in İstanbul. Having begun his career as a judge nominee in Ankara, he served as a judge in Doğubeyazıt, Pazaryeri, Aksaray, as deputy chief prosecuter at Military Supreme Court and Investigating Judge at Yargitay respectively.

   He was elected to be a member of the Supreme Court on January 20, 1995. Following this, he was elected two times as the president of 9th criminal chamber of the Supreme Court by the General board of the Supreme Court.

   On February 6, 2008 he was elected to be the First President of the Supreme Court by the same board .He is married and he has one child.
